Mark van de Velden

Mark van de Velden, Wells Learning Advisor, Shell Global Solutions based in Rijswijk, Netherlands.

Mark is a chartered engineer and has a degree in Petroleum Engineering and a MSc in asset management. He joined Shell in 1995 and has 25 years international experience in the O&G industry. He has held various positions in onshore and offshore supervision, well engineering design, safety, technology implementation and was Head of HSSE and capability for Wells in Shell Brunei Petroleum in South East Asia. Currently he is a Snr Wells Learning Advisor and facilitates Advanced Well Control and Leaderships courses around the globe.

Mark has a passion human factors and leadership tools which is reflected in the courses he is giving. Mark is married to Joanne who also works for Shell and has a son called Isaac.
